What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy (RF). Up to 24 tiny gold-plated needles enter the skin with each pulse and deliver RF energy deep into the dermis or below to get the maximum rejuvenating benefit. The RF energy shrinks the existing collagen, which firms the skin, and stimulates new collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. This causes further skin tightening and smoothing. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, tissues of the face and body can be remodeled to reveal a more radiant and youthful appearance.

How is a Morpheus8 Procedure Performed at Richmond Cosmetic & Laser?

During a Morpheus8 treatment, our team uses state-of-the-art technology to administer 24 silicone-coated needles beneath the skin and into the superficial fat. Once the needles are placed in the fat, the device delivers a pulse of radiofrequency energy that tightens the soft tissue, coagulates the fat, and stimulates the production of elasticin and collagen. In doing so, the needles effectively contour the face and body via subdermal adipose remodeling, resulting in a sleeker and smoother appearance. Morpheus is like an RF needle-based facelift, administered without a scalpel and from the “outside-in”.
